How large is our herd?

Currently, our herd consists of 21 animals. We imported most of the ewes and rams from Germany, specifically from the Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg and Saxony. One ram is from Eastern Styria.

By gender, our flock consists of:

4 rams
13 ewes
4 lambs

At the moment, we unfortunately cannot offer any lambs for sale. We would be happy to receive your order though. The next lamb season starts in March 2021. We are expecting 16-20 lambs to be born. If you are interested in Herdwick lambs, please contact us.

Claus belonged to the first group of Herdwicks that we imported. He has been a part of our little flock for three years and has sired 14 offspring. However, we will not be using him anymore to prevent inbreeding. Because he is too young to be butchered, we are looking for a new home for him.

Claus is strong, well-tempered, a little shy and sometimes he gets a cold

Neck, 1.800-2.000g, with bones
Haunch: 2.000-2.200g, with bones
Ribs: 1.000-1.200g, with bones
Back (upper part): 1.000-1.200g, with bones
Back (lower part): 900-1.000g, with bones
Shoulder: 1.000-1.200g, with bones
